This two-day seminar will provide participants with information on changes of the Medical Device Directive as well as common findings during third party audits of sterilization processes of medical device manufacturers. Participants can take home practical information on pitfalls and avoid such observations in their own company.

Day 1 am: Update to Medical Device Directive (MDD)
This topic will provide information on the upcoming revision of the MDD and the implications for medical device manufacturers.

Day 1 pm, Day 2: Sterilization: Notified Body Viewpoint
This topic will provide inside in audit observations of sterilization processes. Participants can learn about findings related to general requirements of quality management systems and particular requirements of ISO 11135-1, ISO 11137-1, -2 and ISO 17665-1. Common pitfalls when arranging outsourced sterilization will be discussed in details, in light of regulatory requirements. On both days, exercises with subsequent discussion will help to deepen the understanding of participants.

This three hour awareness seminar aims to provide information on current issues, problems and requirements of the building owners, property managers, manufacturers, applicators and third party inspection and testing solutions that TÜV SÜD PSB can provide.

Seminar Overview
In this seminar, you will understand the issues faced by building owners, quality of the products applied and examples of failure analysis on external building facades defects. You will gain a better understanding of issues faced by property owners and management relating to coating defects and its common causes, building defects vs paint film defects, degradation, etc.

In terms of issues faced by manufacturers and applicators, you will learn more about different paint types and applications, waterproofing and crack-bridging and meeting architects specification. This seminar will also cover coatings evaluation such as corrosion evaluation, weathering services.

You will also be briefed on the current Singapore Standards and TÜV SÜD PSB’s services on product quality testing and instrumentation evaluation for material qualification and product conformance.
